Adjust Camera Settings
The first time it is run, the system starts up in a default configuration.
- To view the current settings of your EtherLynx camera, open the Camera Settings dialog box as follows:
- Click
from the Hardware Control window.
- The Parameters tab will open.
Key Settings
All settings on each tab of this dialog can be useful for specific applications. The following will cover the key settings for the novice user.
PARAMETERS TAB

- Frame Rate: Set the frame rate to match the speed of the competitors. See Suggested Values of Rate, Height and Mode for sport specific recommendations.
- AGC Parameters: The Brightness level is the key parameter to set for correct exposure. If background image is dark, set brightness around 30, if the background is white or very light, set brightness around 50-60. You can later fine tune as to facilitate reading competitors.

- Name: Type a name to easily identify the camera, when multiple cameras are in use.
- Image Orientation: Click to select the correct image orientation.

- Identify By: Click to select how competitors will be identified when evaluating the image.
- Lanes: If lanes are used, type in the number of lanes.
- White Balance: Calibrate image colors by using the White Balance function.

- Start Sensor: When using Wired Starts with a Normally Closed start sensor, keep Closed as the selected options.
