Computer & Hardware Setup

To capture photo-finish images and produce fully automatic times, we must first configure the FinishLynx computer and connect the EtherLynx Hardware.

• Configure the FinishLynx computer The FinishLynx software and USB-Serial adapter should be installed and network parameters set on a Windows PC. See FinishLynx Computer Configuration.
• Mount the EtherLynx camera EtherLynx cameras should be securely mounted to a permanent or temporary structure and positioned in the plane of the finish line. See EtherLynx Camera Mounting.
• Connect all components EtherLynx cameras and other hardware components must be correctly connected together and to the computer running the FinishLynx software. See EtherLynx Hardware Connections.
