LapTime Options

Displays the name and status of all LapTime objects.

• Not loaded Requires FinishLynx to be restarted.
• Not Running Serial Port: is set to <none>.
• Not Connected Serial Port is set, but TCP connection not established. Applies to Network (connect) or (listen).
• Running Sending and/or listening for data through the selected port.

Adds a new LapTime object to the list and selects it for configuration.

Deletes the currently selected LapTime object.

As any number of LapTime devices can be connected, individual devices can be assigned names to aid in identification (split 1, finish, etc.).

When the LapTime (LT) Plug-in has been installed, the operator will have the option to select the LapTime Module to be used. Without the plug-in, only From Image is available.

When a scoreboard is connected to FinishLynx, the port used and the data communication configuration need to be set here. Follow the instructions that accompany your scoreboard. See Port Settings for more information.

Defines which splits should accept data from this LapTime device. This allows the operator to choose which splits come from which device.

• All Readings from the device will be imported into FinishLynx, regardless of the split.
• Selected: When checked, the operator can enter a comma separated list of splits during a race that should be accepted from this device. Readings for other splits will be ignored.

Defines how the LapTime device is synchronized with FinishLynx.

• External Used when the LapTime also receives a start signal.
• Internal Used when the LapTime device should be reset by FinishLynx when a start signal is received from an EtherLynx camera.
• None Used when the LapTime device sends non-synced timestamps that FinishLynx interprets to calculate split times.

This offset can be used to adjust the times reported by an external LapTime device to match the official times produced by an EtherLynx camera.

• Time Offset: is added to split times for the selected device.

Sets time parameters within which FinishLynx will ignore readings from a LapTime device.

• Start Sets the time after the start signal FinishLynx will begin accepting splits.
• Duplicate Sets the minimum time between readings for the same tag or transponder.

Defines which Results Zone field will be matched to the Id received from the LapTime device.

When checked, FinishLynx will create a new result object in the Results Board if an Id cannot be associated with an existing key.

When checked, the Place field in the Results Board will be populated with the ranking at the leaders split.

Defines the sort of the Results Board before the finish.

• Cumulative Sorted by the cumulative time.
• Last Sorted by the time of the last split.
• Best Sorted by the time of the best split.

Defines the source of the last split time.

• LapTime The last split is the time received from the LapTime device.
• Official time The official time from the EtherLynx camera overrides the time from the LapTime device.

Allows the user to browse and select a *.txt file to be used to translate the tag ID to the results key.
